The Old Wine Vaults Pub and Grill in Faversham’s bustling Preston Street offers a family orientated menu, with popular favourites and daily specials to keep everyone happy.
There is a bar snacks menu for those wanting a lighter meal, or a tasty something to pick at whilst enjoying a drink.
There is an excellent range of Sunday roasts which offer great value for money, OAP lunches are served every Thursday. The prime location of the Wine Vaults and fantastic garden ensures it is a great all day, all weather venue. It is a super place to pop in and meet friends, whilst enjoying a leisurely cafetiere of freshly ground coffee with a Danish pastry, farmhouse fruit cake or even a pain au chocolat.
The Wine Vaults is a deceptively large pub with ample seating throughout. The traditional bar is situated in the middle of the premises with an ecleptic mix of tables and chairs and cosy corners to be found, ideal for friends and families to meet and relax.
Many older Faversham residents will recall the pub as the old Albion Wine Vaults as it was known up until 1965. There is some conjecture that there was in fact a brewery in the building in the 16th Century, with the first records of it being a tavern in the 17th Century. Records show that in 1770 Valentine Court purchased the premises including an acre of hop gardens for £515.
With so much history, a fabulous location and enticing menu, the old Wine Vaults is a superb destination.
