The Loch Ness Lodge is offering guests Whisky Tasting & Spa Packages in conjunction with the Glen Ord Distillery Visitor Centre and Whisky Shop, near Muir of Ord.

Dating back to 1838, the distillery, 15 miles west of Inverness, is one of the oldest in Scotland. A tour gives an overview of the whisky making process, where visitors see distillers at work creating the award-winning single malt whisky, Singleton of Glen Ord. Guests also enter a duty free warehouse to nose sherry and bourbon casks where the whisky rests, maturing in casks for 12 years in the dark silence and enjoy a wee dram of the "rich, well balanced, sophisticated single malt."

Two night breaks start at just £745 per couple including dinner with complimentary whisky digestif, breakfast and includes distillery tour and spa treatments.
