Kent Restaurant Awards 2009 - Winners

Winners of the Kent Restaurant Awards 2009, sponsored by Vertex Law, were unveiled last night at a glittering awards dinner attended by more than 100 guests at Ashford International Hotel.

The winners were: Best Café - Age & Sons, Best Takeaway - Prince of India, Best Oriental Restaurant - Thai Square, Best International-Buenos Aires, Best Indian Restaurant - Raja of Kent, Best Italian Restaurant- La Magnolia, Best French Restaurant - Le Restaurant Fabrice, Best English Restaurant - Richard Phillips at Chapel Down, Best Gastro Pub - George and Dragon at Ightham, Best Hotel Restaurant - Eastwell Manor, Best Seafood Restaurant - Hythe Bay, Best Gourmet Restaurant -Thackeray’s - Tunbridge Wells.

There were also three special awards for: Best Newcomer - Eddie Gilberts, Best Wine Cellar Montrose, Best Launch - Harvey’s of Ramsgate.
