The kitchen brigade at Mulberry Tree - Boughton Monchelsea is headed by Alan Irwin, who is formerly from the four rosette, one Michelin starred and 'AA Restaurant of the Year', Chapter One in Bromley. He has also worked for two Michelin starred John Burton Race and has been in the finals of both the Roux Scholarship and The Gordon Ramsay Scholarship Award.
The cuisine style at The Mulberry Tree is 'modern British using seasonal produce that is sourced from local suppliers within the county wherever possible. The use of seasonal and local produce ensures a far more reliable product with more distinct flavours. We believe wholeheartedly in offering value for money, using only the best ingredients, served in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Through our association with Produced in Kent we have even managed to source a complete cheeseboard from within Kent. Flour for the bread made on the premises is also sourced from a local mill.
There is a menu that changes daily, together with a set-menu that offers unbeatable value for money. The set menu is available Tuesday through Saturday lunch and Tuesday through Friday dinner. It is priced at £12.95 for 2 courses and £15.95 for 3 courses. On Sundays there is also a set menu available that is priced at £15.95 for 2 courses and £18.95 for 3 courses.
