The Minnis Bar and Restaurant at Birchington is located on miles of sandy beach with the restaurant having fantastic views over the Blue-Flag awarded Minnis Bay, the North Sea. You can also see the towers on the fort at Reculver, where the Barnes-Wallace's bouncing-bomb was tested.
In the evening, as the sun-sets, the skies look stunning, with a myriad of colours that have been painted by artists many times over the years, most famously JWM Turner.
They host a range of live music events, in the bar, restaurant, the upstairs dining area and outside on the green in the summer months.
They have a lighter Lunch Menu - available from 10am to 6pm running alongside the Full Restaurant Menu. Also a selection of Special Event & Function Menus.

"A great find on the beach. There's an out door terrace, bar, large ground floor restaurant and another on the first floor. All offer excellent seaviews and spectacular sunsets. The cold plate of home-cured, pickeld and smoked meats with pickles and preserves proved a fine choice. To follow, my pink welsh lamb was succulent and tender, whilst my dining companion's belly pork with a grain mustard mash was equally good. We shared a slection of "deconstructed cocktail" desserts for which you'll have to travel a longway to better. Highly recommended." |
