Kits Coty Brasserie is a modern eclectic Restaurant in Aylesford, near Maidstone.
The Restaurant - on the edge of Bluebell Hill has tremendous views over the Medway valley.
History: Kits Coty House, beside Bluebell Hill on the Chatham-Maidstone road, is believed to be older than Stonehenge, which was erected between 1800 and 2000 B.C. It is thought that Kits Coty House was a place of worship and later part of a burial mound.
A local tradition claims that a shepherd named Kit used to take shelter under the stones in bad weather, hence the origin of the unusual name. However, it is more likely that the name is a corruption of Catigern's House.
