In Bengali Jalsha means people getting together. We pride ourselves on our food quality and service and have received many awards over the years. Most recently our Head Chef Mr. Miah Came First in a National Curry Competition, which was hosted at a Top London Venue.

Jalsha was opened in Canterbury in 1993 by the Uddin family, who have been in the food trade for over two generations. They originally started the trade in their native country, Bangladesh, which was the Jalsha Hotel. They had been very successful with the Jalsha Hotel and received many awards, notably for the quality of their food and service.
