"Indian Princess - Margate. Indian meets haute cuisine. By far the best experience I've had at an Indian Restaurant, with food to match. The setting can be romantic for a couple or as in our case they knew how to handle a group of 24 with no problem. There were a few little extra surprises on the house which pushed it extra further to the top of my list." |
"Unique range of cuisine excellently presented" |
"Indian Princess - Margate: Just the best indian I have ever had." |
"Indian Princess - Margate: Wonderful restaurant, excellent service and good value for money - clean." |
"The Indian Princess in Margate has changed its name to The Ambrette Restaurant. They offer the same high quality of service with local quality ingredients and their executive chef Dev Biswal uses a delicate blend of flavours and spices to create his unique culinary art, using traditional recipes from India. |
"The only Indian restaurant I know that doesn't serve curry. It's not Bangladeshi, so there's even (local pork on the menu. And it's only the second that superlative cooking. Even the Zebra (I kid youi not) is from a sustainable source. Give the lie to the myth that there are three elemenent to a succesful restaurant - location, locationa and location. What has Margate done to deserve cooking this good?" |
"Probably one of the the best fine dining Indian restaurants in the country. If you want a standard Ruby, forget it. There's no curry on the menu. Though you will find pork, local game, seafood and occasionally more exotic items on the daily changing menu, such us Zebra, Nile Perch, Crocodile and Ostrich. |
"Modern Indian cuisne of the highest order." |

It cannot be beaten on all levels...." |
"The food is excellent and the menu really superb. Staff are really helpful, they even gave me some free coffee beans as I liked the coffee and couldn't get any anywhere. Margate needs a restaurant like The Ambrette." |
"Great innovative dishes, all round a brilliant restaurant." |
"We travel all the way from Switzerland to eat there...." |
